If you are currently living in the CNMI and need support, we are here to help. Below, you will find a list of local resources offering a range of services, including counseling, emergency support, legal assistance, and more. 

Department of Public Safety

The CNMI Department of Public Safety (DPS) provides law enforcement, emergency response, traffic control, criminal investigations, firefighting, community policing, search and rescue, public safety education, and permitting and licensing services. For emergency services, please call 911!

Karidat Social Services

Victim Hotline Program — (670) 234-5100

  • A 24-hour confidential hotline for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence and other crimes. It provides information, referral, emotional support, and serves as the segue for Guma’ Esperansa.

Victim Advocacy Program — (670) 234-6981

  • The Victim Advocacy Program provides assistance for Temporary Restraining Orders (TRO), court advocacy and accompaniment for TROs, and referrals for counseling.

Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP) — (670) 234-6981

  • SASP provides intensive case management, emotional support, counseling, crisis intervention, translation and other services.

Guma’ Esperansa — (670) 234-5100

  • A 24-hour shelter for victims and their children fleeing domestic violence specifically intimate partner violence, sexual assault, stalking, and dating violence.

Family Services Program — (670) 234-6981

  • The Family Services Program provides emergency food and rent when funding is available. Please call the main office for more information and requirements.

DCCA-Division of Youth Services

The CNMI Division of Youth Services (DYS) comprises five main subdivisions (Office of the Administrator, Family and Youth Enhancement Program, Child Protective Services, Juvenile Probation and, Emergency Shelter), collaborating closely to deliver services to the youth in the CNMI and their families.

Office of the Attorney General

Criminal Division:

The OAG-Criminal Division is in charge of prosecuting criminal offenses pursuant to Article III, Section 11 of the Commonwealth Constitution. Ensuring that justice is served while balancing the safety and welfare of the Commonwealth are essential functions of the Criminal Division and necessary for maintaining a civilized society.

Victim Witness Advocacy Unit:

The Victim Witness Advocacy Unit is responsible for providing assistance to victims of crimes and coordinating witness participation in criminal cases.
